Bill: As I always say - “let the free market take care of it” -  government intervention always makes things worse.
Lindy:  So first issue the market should tackle is immigration.  Corporations should pay their workers more to attract natural-born citizens so that there are no jobs left for people who come here illegally!
Bill: Well, no.  The government needs to take care of that.
Wolfgang: By setting a reasonable blanket minimum wage and enforcing it across all sectors of the economy?
Bill: You obviously weren’t listening.  The government shouldn’t mettle in the marketplace.
Lindy: So what’s your market-based solution then?
Bill: Enforcing our borders.
Lindy: (sigh)
