Mood.  The abstract mostly invisible concept that escapes most photographers and filmmakers.  The celluloid only records the facts in front of it, it’s up to the photographer to frame it.  Amazingly, if two photographers shoot the same subject, the mood they capture may be radically different. This photo is special.  The film grain.  The hue of the red.  The depth of field that drops off and distorts perspective.  The symmetry.  The confrontational realism.  The composite parts make it more than just a fish or a shot of sushi.  It has a place in time that isn’t today - but isn’t too far from it - and thus has a sense of memory.  A sense of history.  These attributes extend it beyond the frame.  That extension is mood. ~ü
