The burn is a hiss, and sometimes a pop, others a crackle, but always a hiss.  The hiss is the compelling part.  It is slightly deeper than most white noise, not quite pink.  It waivers unpredictably and unnoticeably unless you are paying close attention.  When you do invest, the shifting sonic spectrum is comforting just like the ocean.  The white noise of crashing waves and the random shifting of the water’s body creates what would feel like chaos under any other circumstance.  The perspective of noise.  The ubiquitousness of common opinion that certain noises are good.  Listen to it in entirety and then start the sound over again.  At this point, new characteristics will emerge within the noise.

Couple this description with the FFT of the sound listed below.
